Sanitation & Recycling

The Village of Wardsville contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection.   We do have an excluse contract within the Village Limits with Republic Services.  Your trash must be picked up by them if you live within the Village Limits.  Everyone within the community is required to have garbage collection.

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. If assistance is needed or you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. 

For questions specific to trash or recycling pick up, please call the waste management company directly.

We do have a trash can ordiance within the Village of Wardsville, the ordiance reads as follows, 

Section 225.030    

C.  Solid waste containers as required by the Chapter for the storage or residentail solid waste shall be place at the curb for collection but shall not be so place until 6:00 p.m. on the day next preceding the regulary scheduled colletion day.  Containers shall be removed from the curb no later the 8:00 p.m. on the day of Collection.

COLLECTION DAY FOR WARDSVILLE AT THIS TIME IS WEDNESDAY, SPECIAL PICKUPS WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE BEFORE THEY HAPPEN.
